Dick Brandt to retire from Iacocca Institute
  • 24 Sep,

Dear GV alumni:

As partners in our shared efforts to expand global learning opportunities, we wanted to let you know that I have decided to retire as director of the Iacocca Institute at the end of this month.

You can read more about this announcement in this article on Lehigh’s website. (link)

Kira Mendez, past president of Lehigh’s Alumni Board and a former partner of The BridgespanGroup will serve a two-year appointment as interim director following my departure. In addition to nearly 30 years of strategy consulting and leadership experience, she brings her history as a member of the team that designed and launched the Global Village in 1996-97, as well as continuing service in a variety of roles over the past 20 years. We are fortunate that Kira will build on Lehigh’s strong foundation and continue to carry the programs forward and we hope that you will continue to support the Global Village program.

We have greatly valued your partnership in helping create the future leaders of business and industry, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.

 Sincerely,

 Dick Brandt
Director of the Iacocca Institute and the Global Village Program

 Cheryl Matherly
Vice President and Vice Provost for International Affairs
